Neil returned to Whangarei in 1996 and as his patient list grew, so did his desire to have his own business where he could ensure a personalised, friendly and professional service was delivered each and every time.

Neil bought White Cross Physiotherapy Clinic in 2001 and has since, created a great team of physiotherapists to complement his skill set.

Outside of work, Neil is a busy husband and father of four who enjoys the outdoor leisure opportunities available in Northland. He has personal experience in competitive running, cycling and triathlon environments, and has played a range of racquet, water and ball sports. This has given Neil a thorough understanding of the needs of competitive and recreational sportspeople.

Tracey Wallis

Physiotherapist

Tracey completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 1995 and has developed extensive skills in manual therapy, acupuncture, sports injuries and Pilates. She has worked with Neil at White Cross since 2005 after returning from the United Kingdom.

As well as chasing around after her two young children Tracey is active in a range of sports. She has long enjoyed basketball and netball as well as getting down to the slopes for some snowboarding. Tracey works part-time in practice and also provides additional cover for when other team members are away.

Roberta Wilkinson

Physiotherapist

Roberta graduated in 1983 and after working in orthopaedic wards and outpatient clinics, completed a postgraduate diploma in manual therapy and sports medicine and an advanced diploma in physiotherapy

Roberta has previously owned her own private practice, specialising in manual therapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation, as well as managing orthopaedic triage clinics and wards for the orthopaedic groups. She has also been a clinical tutor and lectured in sports medicine, taping and rehabilitation.

Roberta’s current role with Whitecross physiotherapy involves post-operative physiotherapy for Kensington Hospital inpatients.

James Pook

Physiotherapist

Completed a BHSc in Physiotherapy in 2012. A credentialed McKenzie therapist and working through a postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Interests include rehabilitation and back and neck pain.

Karen Carter

Physiotherapist

Completed a Diploma in Physiotherapy in 1978. Owned her own practice in Whangarei for 20 years before joining the Whitecross physiotherapy team in 2016. Physio for Northland rugby 2000-2003. Widely experienced physiotherapist with highly developed musculoskeletal and acupuncture skills.
